Local Social Network for the Arts Community in Central Valley
This intimate, self-guided studio tour allows visitors to set their own itinerary for enjoying the incredibly unique settings of each of the artists’ studios. With guidebook and map in hand, a personalized trek through the wildflower-decked foothills will satisfy much curiosity about how and why these artists have chosen Three Rivers for their art-making home. The studios are within 1-6 miles apart.
Thirteen artists will open their studios, featuring handweaving, stoneware pottery, detailed pencil drawings, fine jewelry, oil painting, watercolors, mixed media and digital collage, portraiture, lathed turned bowls, mosaic clay sculpture, acrylic paintings, recycled folk art and photography.
Tickets go on sale on February 1, 2014 for the earlybird rate of $15 per adult. After March 2 and at the door, tickets will be $20 per adult. Tickets are available online on the Studio Tour website, by phone, or in person at the Arts Visalia Gallery in Visalia or the Historical Museum in Three Rivers.
The studios will be open from 10-5 pm each day. The Starting Gate for the Tour is the Historical Museum on Highway 198 in Three Rivers, which will open at 9 am each day. Here visitors will pick up guidebooks, maps and name badges.
