Profile Information

I am a guitarist with extensive Jazz, Folk, Rock, Blues and World music influences and experience. I am also a singer/songwriter, arranger and producer. My solo CD: "Voice of a Friend" and my duo CD with Harmonica Master Eddie Gordon: “Smokin’” are available at

Here at I have posted exclusive tracks from my upcoming release "Fingerpaint". I have also uploaded a couple songs I produced for my brother-in-law Greg Lawson. They are written about the genocide in Darfur and China's role.

Songwriters! If you have written a song and can sing it, I can find the chords for it. I can play all of the possible harmonies so you just have to tell me when it sounds right to you. I can even create sheet music for your song.

I have three different song production deals. 1) A barebones demo recording of my guitar and your voice. No frills very easy. 2) A full rhythm section: drums, bass, rhythm guitar and lead guitar under your voice. 3) Rhythm sectionand a session singer and/or instrumentalist (musician session fees not included). The tests and final versions are available as MP3 and on CDR.

A little history...

I sang in public for the first time at the age of 10 and played my guitar and sang at the McLane High Talent Show at 16. I played bass with the Carlson Brothers in Folly's Pool until 1976. I went to G.I.T. (Guitar Institute of Technology) in Hollywood in 1979 where I studied and played most American guitar styles. There were also classes in arranging, composition and orchestration. I started performing the greater Los Angeles area including a 4 year gig at Luigi's in Newport Beach. In 1986 I moved back to Fresno and soon met Eddie Gordon, a genius harmonica player and great musician. We played together for 15 years. Lately I've been playing with Violinist Patrick Contreras.

I teach classes for beginning guitar techniques for all ages, even kids as young as 6, at the California Arts Academy at 4750 N Blackstone. I teach more advanced techniques in private lessons there as well.

I also teach private lessons at Gottschalk’s Music Center in Old Town Clovis on Fridays and Saturdays.
