Ernest "Erns Oner" Valdez is a multimedia artist living and working in Southern California. Born in Fresno, California, Valdez honed his craft as a young man. With his ingrained "can do" spirit it was not long before his work was flowing from the streets to large scale murals and commissions.
The work of Erns Valdez can be found throughout California and beyond. Locally his work has been shown at dA Center for the arts , GCS (Pomona & Santa Ana) , DBA256, The Main Street Gallery, The Bunny Gunner Gallery and The SCA Project Gallery to name a few.
Valdez is not only a successful artist but somewhat of a visionary. Erns recognized a deficiency in venues where emerging artists can display their work. Out of his vision and sharing spirit "Loft Beats" was born. Originally only to be a one time event, the event drew much attention from artists and buyers alike. The concept took hold. The summer of 2013 marks the 4 year anniversary of Loft Beats. Loft Beats Art Shows has recently expanded to hosting large format art and music shows at larger venues throughout California. The loft recently became a collective gallery offering opportunities to artists who are serious about becoming career artists/curators while still offering oppertunities for all artists at offsite events and other galleries.
In October of 2011 Erns Valdez was elected President of The Pomona Arts Colony Association. He is currently working on opening more doors to emerging artists , expanding the Art Walk, networking with other arts colonies and organizations and coordinating some local mural projects. With the success of Loft Beats and his larger format shows, Valdez has recently begin to curate at other galleries to further his experience and continue to open doors to all artists. He also has moved onto providing graffiti and tagging for movie sets and other productions.
