Oval Monument Dresser Box - Cherry - OMDBCH001 - 1

This piece was inspired by the columns and general design of some of the monuments of antiquity. It is made from cherry left over from some queen anne side tables I made. There are 6 layers, each made froms a board cut to form an elongated octagon and then shaped. I particularly love how the final shaping formed adjoining arches around the perimeter of the body.

Rosemary, thanks for the welcome and the compliment. Enjoyed your slideshow tremendously. Look forward to seeing some of your work in person. I'll have some additional projects to add as soon as I get the new camera figured out (gotta love technology).

Hi, welcome to the site.  Your art is so beautifully crafted.  I love the fact that you use recycled wood.
