What's a Zine Anyway?

Some of you may already know what a zine is or this may be the first time you've ever heard of a zine. It doesn't matter. What matters is that you're here and part of this awesome group. I have a feeling you're going to fall in love with zines. I know I love them. So here's a little definition of Zines I found at ZineWiki:
A zine - pronounced zeen - derived from magazine - is an independently- or self-published booklet, often created by a single person. Zines are customarily created by physically cutting and gluing text and images together onto a master flat for photocopying, but it is also common to produce the master by typing and formatting pages on a computer. The end product is usually folded and stapled. Zines can be printed and bound in any manner. Offset printing is a relatively common alternative to photocopying, though there is some controversy among zine writers as to whether professionally printed products may be defined as zines.

Check out Apples, Oranges and Zombies located in Visalia. We sell copies at Velouria Records downtown and you can always check our facebook. We're trying to bring AOZ to fresno locations so please try to contact me in regards to doing so.

Definitely planning a workshop. I'll check out Sorensen's next week when I'm feeling better. Thanks for sharing so much.

Do you have plans for a wokshop? I think that would be cool, maybe over at Sorensen's. He has a big table. I am in the process of planning one now for the decor of bra's that will be a part of the bra banner.
