Event Description

Fresno Digital Workshops is offering a Studio Lighting workshop for photographers on Saturday, March 5, 2011 from 9am-4pm

Learn the art and craft of studio lighting in this one-day workshop. Working with both constant and studio strobe sources, we’ll examine what is needed to capture compelling shots in the studio environment. We will look at several types of lights and light modifiers you can use without spending a fortune. This is a hands-on workshop where you will have ample opportunity to shoot with our models. You will learn about:

  • Different types of light modifiers and the affect they have on the quality of light (Softboxes, umbrellas, spot lighting, etc.
  • Learn the pros and cons of shooting in JPG vs Raw mode
  • Multiple light setups
  • Single Light setups
  • Establishing a proper exposure
  • Breaking the rules of lighting

The class will be taught by Carlos Guzman of PBG Media. Cost is $69 for the day.
