Event Description

We are proud to announce that Leslie Mitts Martin has joined EP as an instructor.

Leslie is an Acting Professor at Fresno State with a Masters in Performance from CSU Fullerton, with additional training for commercials, film and musical theater. She has taught beginning to advanced acting, she coaches, and has worked in casting. Her diverse acting experience includes theater and film.

Aside from its casting and production services, EP is offering the following events and classes for February and March:

SCREENTESTS (Free)
12pm to 2 pm, Tuesdays and Thursdays, by appointment.
Preapre a 2 minute monologue - or we can provide one for you.

ACTING FOR KIDS
Saturdays, 9 am to 10 am
Instructor: Leslie Mitts Martin
(Youngsters up to 12) This class is for children interested in the art and craft of acting. Focusing on various methods of technique and finding the character within themselves through warm ups, scene work and monologues, teamwork, we teach skills for theater and film. We cover protocol, information for parents, and a fun enivronment to explore personalities. (1 hour class: $25)

ACTING FOR TEENS
Saturdays, 10:30 am to 12:30 pm

Instructor: Leslie Mitts Martin
(Ages 13 to 18) Connecting creativity with the discipline of the art is the focus to hone the craft of acting. Leslie melds various methods of technique through warm-ups and exercises, scene work and monologues that apply to film and theater, aid confidence and collaboration. Protocol and parent information are also included. (2 hour class: $35)

COLD READS AND AUDITIONS
Saturday, February 20, 1:00 to 5:00 pm

Instructor: Leslie Mitts Martin
There are times when you have to read or audition unprepared... Maybe you don’t know what character you are auditioning for or you’re asked to do something you hadn’t prepared for. Leslie will reveal the secrets of : Choices, Control and Confidence, presenting the techniques and skills necessary for a winning Cold Read or Audition! (4 hour Intensive for $75)

FEBRUARY HEADSHOTS
SUNDAY, FEB. 28 - By appointment only

Enrique Meza is our photographer. Lisa Vialpando will provide professional hair and make-up. We will provide wardrobe assistance. Christine will provide Artistic Direction. You will receive a CD of the best series. The cost is $275.

FILM VS. THEATER - WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
Saturday, March 13, 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm

Instructor: Matt Otstot
We are covering the acting challenges of these two mediums. You’ve heard it before: the transition from Theater to Film is easy, from Film to Theater is not. So, what are the differences? What does a stage actor need to know to succeed in front of the camera? What does a film actor need to know to gain a stand out performance? (4 hour Intensive: $75)

SUNDAY, March 21 - By appointment only

Saturday, March 27, 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm

Instructors: Leslie Mitts Martin and Christine Autrand Mitchell
How do you deal with a difficult director? What if the director asks more of you than you’re prepared for? What does the director expect of you for theater vs. film? As an actor, this class is about what you can do to succeed in working with any director. (4 hour Intensive, $75)

Spring Break - Kids workshops from Monday, March 29 to April 2nd, 9am to 12 pm. (More to come on this event...)
