What happened when Snow White met her Punk Rock Prince? Together they exploded on canvas creating wild, exciting, yet wonderfully beautiful abstract paintings.
Dolores Witt is known for her beautiful florals and portraits. Her imaginative use of color was first recognized by Walt Disney Studios where Witt was employed as a young artist. Later she became an artist for Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios, drawing Tom & Jerry cartoons. When Dolores turned to painting fine art, her colorful paintings won
18 best-of-show awards. Her work was shown for five years at EaselHeads Gallery in Visalia, California. Today Witt's paintings are sought out by collectors worldwide.
James Stark became known in San Francisco for his hard-hitting photographs of the Rock 'n' Roll scene. Stark's photos were published in Rolling Stone, New York Rocker, Slash, and Search and Destroy among several other magazines. His book Punk '77, an inside look at the Rock 'n' Roll scene has recently been re-issued. His classic posters for the band Crime, have become highly prized collector items. James is also a trained painter whose work is collected for its' bold color and intense feeling.
The pairing of Witt and Stark has created an exciting new genre in the art world. Collaboration of this type is rare among visual artists and even more so among painters. James and Dolores met and became close friends through their involvement in the Visalia art community. Neither of them had painted abstracts before, but decided on a whim to try the grand experiment. The results amazed them and are sure to excite the viewers even more.---Come and Feel the Passion!
