- Jo Anne learned the rules of photography at San Jose State University, and continues to break them. She experiments in the darkroom, sometimes making her own negatives. She stages and photographs pop portraits, which are paper cut-outs from drawings, and mixes them with pretty papers and trims.
Her influences include Tim Burton, Camille Rose Garcia and other pop surrealist artists, ghouls and haunted houses, tattoo art, and rockabilly music.
