Thank you for your welcome. Yes, I hope I become familiarized with Fresno artists since I have been assigned to find exhibitors for the display cases in the entrance foyer of the Central Branch of the Public Library. I already have responses from three artists, two of which have scheduled months to display their art. I have information on the space to e-mail to any interested artist.
I wasn't able to get enough cottage food people together, I guess the new cottage food law needs more time for people to know about it... Which was what I was hoping to get the word out about with the fair.
September is National Chicken Month, so yes, I was hoping that Central California Local Urban Chicken Keepers (CCLUCK) could work with the Arts Council to put together a Chicken Themed ArtHop in September.
I'd be happy to know more about the June event... Whatcha got?
I came into the office and spoke with you briefly about the possibility of putting together a cottage food and art festival in February. The idea would be to celebrate the new cottage food law, which will go into force on January 1, 2013. I particularly liked February, as it lends it's self to I "heart" local, and I "heart" cottage. I'm active with the Interfaith Alliance and the Multi-faith Exchange, so I could also get quite a few local cultural dance groups to perform. I was thinking that the Folklore Society would be another group to contact for folk music performers.
I'm the organizer behind Central California Local Urban Chicken Keepers (CCLUCK) and I was also wanting to know if we could work with the Fresno Arts Council to do a chicken themed ArtHop event next September, which is national chicken month.
I'm looking for one of the CCLUCK members to take the lead on the cottage food and art fair, as I'm very busy with CCLUCK and looking for a job. While I'm not employeed I do have some time to help out with the initial set up, but I do need a strong lead. If you know of anyone who might be interested, please let me know.
Hi, If you conected with David Hull and Jazz Fresno then you are already talking to the right folks. If you want to make direct contacts you can also take a look at the JazzHop map it lists most of the performance venues you may want to connect with.
