Dennis, thanks for commenting on my art work and website. I love the style of your work as well; the colors are beautiful. I will look into the Artist Studio Space some time next week, I am booked all this week with business. Some of my art is on exhibition at Strands at Palm and Herndon. If you get a chance stop by and see my work there. Happy painting, Hilda..........
Hi Dennis, I just wanted to say hi! You were on Marias page and I looked you up. Hope all is going well for you.
Please come to the Kiss show in Feb. at Chris Sorensens. It should be alot of fun. Enter some art on Jan. 31st. if you would like.
Thanks back to you also for your complements!
Did you notice that my work is with color pencils?
I belong to Kings River Arts Council out of Reedley, but that one is a little slow for activity.
I also belong to WetCanvas! online forum chat site. Great place to find artists with like minds and mediums! Also a great place to learn a lot! I also soft-of belong to the Love Song Artist community; (see groups).
I am planning on joining Fresno Arts Council when I can. Other than that, I'm just here at the Community, networking with all of you.
hi Dennis I love my job and I love helping the artists! If I can send out info to help the artists I will . . . thank you for your kind words--I appreciate it! Did you ever rent your studio space to an artist? Maria
I really enjoy meeting people here, too. Lots of familiar faces but the chance to get to know so many others doing such good work...! It's a feast seeing everyone in one place.
That swan is a favorite. I'm not really into mold work (unless it's for collage pieces) but the lines of that piece caught my eye--it reminded me of Russian fairytales and lacquerware boxes. Years ago, I worked in theater, doing set construction, and learned to love creating faux surfaces with paint. I still get a thrill out of creating surfaces that look like something they are not. I did those simply for my own satisfaction! ...pleased that they caught your eye.
Thanks for the note--hope to meet you and your wife at a local event as things unfold here.
