In societies of fear, like ours, people are discouraged from speaking their minds openly least they be persecuted by those in power. Usually its the artists who represent the aspirations of the oppressed. They speak through their art, between the lines of their texts and through subliminal images which only those who have eyes to see and ears to hear behold!

Obama receiving the Nobel PEACE prize today makes him histories biggest hypocrite. If he would have been a man he would would have graciously declined until history proved himself a man of PEACE. The one thing he did prove however is that he is the second coming of George W. Bush who set the preemptive war strategy into motion; "let's murder everyone whom we fear before they get us!" Guess what folks? Bush is still in power. The abusive husband is getting ready to beat the hell out of his second wife (the first one, Iraq is unrecognizable). The new naive wife, Afghanistan is going to be beat to a pulp but of course she deserves it, cause it will bring PEACE to the home (world). Give me a break!

Got ART promoting PEACE? If so let me know and we'll put on a PEACE NOW ART SHOW

Back in the day, the 60's generation not only spoke up against the bullshit but lived alternative life styles at the dismay of the status quo. Postmodernism is fruit of that generations' refusal to be spoon fed the American dream instead they decided to live, think and decide for themselves! We opened the door to the possibility to dream and create our own world, sadly the "man" has this generation by its testicles so that it doubts its ability to create a new world. Fear is a powerful tool which the powerful use to control the masses. Once you submit to fear you've lost the battle for freedom!

After accepting the Nobel, Obama said everything I expected him to say. It's was one of the best foreign policy speeches I've ever heard. Far better than Bush's thoughless cowboy diplomacy. Too may liberal/progressives seemed to think Obama was a peacenik. This was never the case. The majority of Americans would never vote for an Presidential candidate who was NOT willing to take us into war if needed. It is why Rep. Kucinich will never get the nomination to run for President. Obama never said he was opposed to war as an option. In fact He said in 2002 that he didn't believe in fighting "stupid wars".
He has read the "Art of War" by Sun-Zu. There are two basic rules from this 2400 year old book that we are currently violating and he addressed them both, also unlike Bush. The first is "There is no instance of a nation benefitting from prolonged conflict" Obama has at least the beginnings of an exit strategy. The second is "Thus, what is of supreme importance in war is to attack the enemy's strategy." Some sort of political deal with Taliban elements will have to be reached, while isolating and destroying the radical elements. The radical Islamic ideology is what must be discredited in the global public eye and thus defeated. It is a propaganda war. Our prolonging of the war and inability to understand or attack the North Vietnamese strategy were the basic errors that the USA committed during the Vietnam War.

My apologies to Victor for this comment but... War is an Art. Martial Arts are Arts... just as beautifal as any other art just very deadly and sobering.

My two favorite Art of War quote:
"To fight and conquer in all your battles is not supreme excellence; supreme excellence consists in breaking the enemy's resistance without fighting".
"Regard your soldiers as your children, and they will follow you into the deepest valleys; look on them as your own beloved sons, and they will stand by you even unto death."

We don't like to admit it but America has always believed in "Might makes Right". Military might or economic might, disagree with us and you will suffer. The biggest difference between Obama and Bush is Obama is doing what he "thinks" is right but Bush did what he "KNEW" was right. I'm just afraid the award will make Obama "KNOW" what is right. Someday I hope this country will see religious freedom as more than the right to be whatever type of Christian you want.
