The Marilyn exhibition has been a great success and now has a new attraction.

The portrait was painted by local artist Lisa Kennedy and unveiled by the principal of Highlands College Professor Ed Sallis.A lookalike model of Marilyn, Suzie Kennedy, was at the unveiling to show some of the stars costumes, and cut a specially made birthday cake.

You'll be able to see the new portrait at the museum, where it will form a part of the exhibition.

David Gainsborough Roberts, a long time collector of Marilyn memorabilia said that her popularity is increasing all the time.

"She brought a great deal of joy to everybody, her name is incredibly big, we're running the Marilyn exhibition until the end of the year and next year it's going to the American exhibition in Bath.
