(Photograph of John and India Sorensen...taken by Cynthia)... All call to artists for a Valentine's Day Show... at the Chris Sorensen Studio 2223 South Van Ness Avenue VAN NESS AND RAILROAD AVENUE. The date of art acceptance is Saturday, January 31, 2009, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. All mediums will be excepted. There is a $20.00 admission per piece with a maximum of two pieces per artist. Please no inappropriate art, this is a classy place! The title of the show is "KISS THIS". The theme is LOVE. The show will run for the month of February with a reception on arthop night and an artists POTLUCK reception on Valentines Day, Saturday, February 14th, 2009, from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. Open mic at the arthop, orgnized by Ken and Christine Connelly. bring your own gear. Live musical performance by "True Blue" at the Valentine Potluck. Bring your sweetheart if you have one! If you don't you can just hang out in the lonely ones group. I will be in that one! (remember Steve Martin in "The Lonely Guy"? Too funny! Maybe we should have a kissing booth?! !!!! Any volulnteers? 25% of any artwork sold will go to the Marjaree Mason Center. Someone from the center will be on site if you have any questions. Marjaree Mason Center is a non-profit organization that focuses on domestic violence. It is a an amazing and dedicated organization that was founded in the 1970's. Thank you for your anticipated involvement in this fun show which will be dedicated to: CHRIS SORENSEN. (Shhhhh, it is a surprise!) The man with the biggest heart in Fresno, No really, If you have not seen his giant heart sculpture, it is out at St. Agnes Hospital. Chris has a big heart too though and he has been a huge supporter of the arts since the beginning of time!
