Third Thursday Arthop Reception (September 15, 2011 5-9 pm) will be showing a final Graduate Art Show @ Margaret Hudson's Gallery (http://www.margarethudson.com/gallery.html) featuring the art of Cynthia Manuzak. Manuszak will be showing wo...rks created through her two year graduate program at Fresno Pacific University, much is paper works, some canvas and a film from her production at Roosevelt High School (http://abclocal.go.com/kfsn/story?section=news%2Feducation&id=8...) featuring Richard Silva, visual artist, Jonathan Mathis, film maker, and special guest, the Double Rainbow Guy expressing his passion to be creative in life, not living a live to worry what others might think about you, but staying true to your own self(http://abcnews.go.com/GMA/double-rainbow-guy-paul-yosemite-bear-vas...). Margaret Hudson will also be displaying her beautiful flower paintings giving the show a splash of color. Manuszak interned with Hudson during her graduate program and was inspired by Hudson's ability to find hope in life. But unlike Margaret, Manuszak expressed her anguish of what crystal meth did to her family in a serene uncertainty, painting her husband hanging on a cross and titled the piece, SUFFER. This show is a powerful and emotional exhibit.
INSPIRATION IS INVALUABLE
"My art springs from a very deep love of nature and the earth. It is simple and direct. I hope each flower speaks directly to you as it did to me, both in the garden and in its painting. I celebrate each blossom in its rich early morning color and in the joyous rhythm of its dancing petals.I celebrate it in its opening and full bloom and also in its fading and brokenness. It is the cycle of life -- my life. It lifts me beyond myself into a oneness with all of life and the Eternal."
