Tomorrow, I hit the road early, again, for another public art tour and picture taking event. Today was just a taste, as I accompanied Bob Gifford while he did welding in prep for installing a gate designed by Chris Sorensen, at a private home. I couldn't look (it's not safe), but my camera could, and this is what it saw. Looks like a high end Fourth of July sparkler and sounds a bit like one, too.
Having grown up in Upstate NY, around farms, both old and long abandoned, I have terminal curiosity when it comes to machinery, of any kind.
I had to get a picture of Thing #1 and Thing #2. The first reminded me of an electrical octopus and the second looked like it was trying to look innocent but was probably responsible for the light show (I painted it in its presumed true colors). I will probably get teased about this description, and rightly so, I have no idea what I was looking at. Then again, once the teasing's over, I will have been told.
Curiosity killed the cat, but satisfaction...
