We would like to let you know that we are working on the new Fresno Arts Council corporate website, which is at fresnoartscouncil.org. Our theme:
ART as a GIFT
This theme resulted from hours of brainstorming, and the bulb lit up while I was taking a shower (eureka :). The premise is that artists contribute and give their work as a GIFT to the community. I understand how much of yourself you sacrifice to make our community a beautiful… Continue

That's why we've decided to change our rates! July 1st 2009 it will only cost $20 or 20% commission for any piece regardless of size or medium. The show will run for an entire month and we'll provide a complimentary reception during the second art hop. If your interested in showing or have any questions be sure to… Continue

It's been four long months but I can finally paint again!
Wow, I feel like I've been reborn!
You can't (oh well, artists who see this WILL know) know how painful it is not to be able to drown yourself in those delicious colors! I am able to stand long enough now and my hands have regained stregnth.
I hear from others who have gone thru a bad illness that it will all take a while to regain everything, but ,Thank you God, I can paint again!!
I'm interested in assembling a group of members of the writer's group, except for Sin, to discuss an issue about my latest book, Purple Hat Swims California's Highest Lakes! If you are interested, please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org. I would want you to read a brief email from me, and then two 1 page samples of my writing, and tell me which of the two samples you like the best, and why. This should take no more than 15 minutes. Thanks alot! Purple Hat

As each day passed, he gained a better understanding of the female body and was able to really make his paintings shine.
After a month, the artist had become very weary from this non-stop effort and decided to take it easy for the day. Since… Continue

The Peppertree Gallery is working on putting together a monthly seminar on how to assemble your artist portfolio. The seminar will be held once a month on a Sunday for approximately 2hrs. Other seminars may follow such as the basics of charcoal drawing and the basics of acrylic painting.
We would love to hear your feed back. If you think this is a good idea let us know why. If you have other ideas for seminar topics we want to know that too!
Received this in my email this morning and thought I would post this. It is an interview the the curator of the show and also has a slide show featuring some of the other art pieces that will be displayed. I can't wait to see everything! Enjoy.
I don't seem to be able to make the link feature work, but you can copy this link if the other doesn't work. http://blip.tv/file/2227719
Creation surrounds us. We are caught up in something bigger than ourselves. Like a captivating masterpiece that holds us spellbound by its beauty, the cosmos, as our home, should make us want to take our shoes off and stay awhile.
Of all life forces that animate mother earth, we are the most disrespectful and destructive. It shouldn't be this way ............. but it is.
Lets live in harmony
Lets protect the integrity of our… Continue
