By simply shopping as you normally do, you will be supporting the many important programs of the Huff Art Center. The S.H.A.R.E.S. card is FREE. Each swipe of the S.H.A.R.E.S. card earns 3% of qualified purchases for us. And if you don't think that is a lot then think about this... If you spent $200 last month at Save Mart, Lucky's, S-Mart, or Food Maxx, then you would have given three (3) women or children, at the shelter, an Expression art healing… Continue

Does anyone recall seeing a posting for a show in Visalia ( I believe it was in Visalia) that was for/based on mental illness, and emotional issues? The name was Expressions, or something of that nature and had an April 30th art drop off deadline and was supposed to have the reception sometime mid-May.
I really wanted to be a part of that and have 2 pieces that would be perfect. Now I can't find anything on it.

I've finished my latest new book, Purple Hat* Swims California Highest Lakes, and I'm very pleased with it. The text runs 115 pages, and there is 37 pages of photographs. It is about my adventures last August in an attempt to swim all 18 of California's lakes located 12,500' or higher! The book has many hilarious moments, several scary moments, and a few profound moments. It is for sale for $50 + tx, but for members of Fresno Arts, it is $40 + tx. For more on it, either call me at 797.5925 or… Continue

I have finished almost a hundred quilts and have lots of boxes with finished blocks ready to turn into quilts. BUT I have changed my addiction to polymer clay. Mostly jewelry.
Channel bracelets are my current favorites, and some quilt jewelry:
I hope to have a web site up soon.

I am in a dream with grace as I have felt late at night as though I am with serenity, finding life with life as I have felt in the days so far in the last, I am in heaven as it was sent to me in the dream I have awaken in, no sound has harmed me has if all noise has stopped just for a moment to be, me flying with wings in the sky above all to be a wish to heal the ill, my wings sparkle of glitter in the future as though I am as they wished, can I find… Continue

If musicians can set it up on their web sites so that patrons can download a single song and put in a code so that it can only be copied once or twice after that, why can't visual artists do the same with their work? With the new technology available (and all those plasma screen tvs sitting blank when homeowners are using them) we are missing a valuable opportunity to share our work. Instead of a blank screen, the homeowner could have a beautiful digital image of a photo or painting! Anybody… Continue

FEATURED ARTIST....JOYBURTON HEISIG
A warm flush of excitement washed over me as I entered the corner gallery of the Vets Bldg at the foot of the pier in Cayucos, CA to see about 20 of my watercolor paintings and fanciful collages all hung surrounding my name there too!
After all the work to get ready for this show...the many volunteers of the Cayucos Community Art
