Yesterday was George Harrison's (RIP) birthday. I posted a message and link to a song on my FaceBook page but no one cared to comment. Same thing happened a couple days before when I posted about Brad Nowell's (RIP) birthday. What's wrong with people these days?!
In other news, I just joined this site. I'm very passionate about writing. I'm writing (what was supposed to be a short) story right now but have recently hit a bump in the road. I'm taking a small break until I… Continue

Tonight is one of those memorable times. I have been asked to photograph the Republican Party Dinner.
I will meet some amazing people. I am taking my mother with me, she is a Republican. I am not. I do not claim a party, only because I do not have the knowledge to say either way. But still, this is one of those moments. I know it means a lot to my mom and if my father were still here, he would be proud. I will post pics. later. Wish me luck! I am a little bit NERVOUS! Usually, I do fine… Continue

I sold a painting today. I have much to be thankful for, though I miss myself when this happens. I miss a part of my soul, but I know this one is in good hands.
Goodbye painting. I love you. But I need to see you gone. I try to pretend it does not make me sad. That it is why I do it, to share and profit. But inside, deep deep inside, I miss you so.
The painting is titled, Eyes Wide Open. The story is brief, but this… Continue

I found a post on craigslist Fresno looking for a acoustic venue in Fresno a few days after the Fresno Folklore Society decided to open the Brick Wall. It seemed like serendipity to me. I checked out her myspace and called her up. We are the kick off of her Pacific Northwest Tour.

I was 13 and I just HAD to learn that great new Simon and Garfunkle song, Sounds of Silence. I traded my Crown Red Sparkle drumset for an acoustic guitar and a Mel Bay Chord Book. I had absolutely no idea what I was getting into. How was I to know the song was way more complicated than most mid 60s pop rock? So I learned the chords to play Sounds of Silence and then discovered there dozens of easier songs that used some of the same chords just fewer.
Years later I learned that all of those… Continue
