The Grand Galleries has accepted my art tribute to breast cancer survivors called "I'm Still Beautiful" to be exhibited in their next season. Exact dates will be set later once their new budget is accepted. We still have many details to iron out but the important thing is we get to do my show in our new home town. The plan, as it stands, is we will have a big opening night and the exhibit will continue for 4-6 weeks after. I also plan to invite a couple health professionals to give informal…

Carnival Season is a happy time. It is when friends and family came together to share smiles, laughter, good food, dance, enjoy, and celebrate all they have to be thankful for. Carnival and Mardi Gras are not what you see on TV, Carnival Season is a time to enjoy. It is the period of time, every year, when everyone can to set aside their troubles, try to forget the harshness life may have handed them, and all will seem right with the world.
Mardi Gras always falls on the Tuesday that…

In-spite of wacko televangelist Pat Roberson's statement that Haiti's poverty and devastating 7.0 earthquake are deserved because they made a pact with the devil - God is still on the throne and unlike Robertson, God is compassionate towards all his creatures (his rain and sunshine falls on both the good and the evil, even Robertson).
Such self-righteous religious wacko's give Christ, a bad name.
Remember Jesus' most critical language was reserved for the pompous,…

TOnight on 30 News at 5:00 pm they reported on the Art Museum closing part of their facilities to the public because of the leaky roof. They also mentioned the decreased attendance and that they only had two full time paid employees. Their problems are not to be confused or compared to those of the failed MET.
At the fcash meeting today those in attendance addressed the need to support the downtown Art scene and to encourage others to do so as well! Hopefully they will find…

Dear Met Supporters and Friends,
A Museum is an exercise in hope. The impact that the arts play in the lives of the people that they touch and the experiences and memories that they create are life-long. Museums change people and communities over generations. While we may never know what caused the creative spark in a child during a museum visit we can see the fire of innovation, change and growth in our community that it ignited.
Your support has helped to keep this hope…

"Modigliani" This is is a hell of a cool artist. Talk about inspiration. I watched the dvd about his life, fiction to an extent, but incredible. I loved it. I cried a river though. Damn, it was good. I think I got the DVD from Bosque. His paintings are beautiful. I painted a copy of one, on my page and did not know who the artist was at the time, but found out just recently, last winter. I was amazed, I met him through his art, isn't that how we want everyone to meet us. Funny thing is, I met…
