I lived in Fresno a number of years ago. I was a charter member of the San Joaquin Clay Association. I made mostly cat figurines way back then. I still work in clay. I have started making them again but with porcelain this time. What with the new types of porcelain and the Mason stains that fire bright at ^6, how could I not make the cats again? But they have changed a bit but haven't we all? I even opened my own website last week. I live in the Pacific North West now. A hot day is 70 degrees. WOW!
ceramics, drawing, fiber arts, jewelry and a hint of painting. Clay is my medium of choice. Porcelain my clay of choice. I like color and texture but I also like functionality. I incorporate all of this into dinnerware pieces. My work is unique to say the least. I don't have to search for new ideas. They come to me as I am working on projects. I am now working on porcelain flowers, dog and cat food dishes, Angel animals for people whose pets have gone on to the Spirit World and grave plaques for departed pets.
