5 years study of Fine Art in Krasnodar State University (Russia)
Diploma of painter and book designer
Extension courses of book design in Moscow paleographic institute
During five years studied fine arts in Krasnodar University (Russia).
In 1979 started career of book-designer in publishing house " Stiinta".
From 1980 till 1991 worked in the publishing house "Cartea Moldoveneasca".
That period he illustrated over 300 books, designed many booklets, posters, cards
and got Silver Price in annual competition of book-designers of Moldova.
Since the end of 1991 Valeriu Buev is a free artist.
In 2006 Valeriu Buev published a book of short stories and poems.
In July 2006 took part in 3rd Edition of International Painting Symposium
“SummArt Painter’s Campus 2006”
In 2007 Valeriu Buev received grants from Denkmalschmeide Höfgen gGmbH
and Kunstlerhaus Schrebitz and spent 3 months in art residences in Germany.
In July 2008 took part in 5th Edition of International Painting Symposium
‘SummArt Painter’s Campus 2008”
In 2008 Valeriu Buev got grant from Valparaiso Fundacion
and residency in Mojacar (Spain)
