Lifelong closet poet-essayist-visual artist-shower-singing goofball; psychotherapist by day, other incarnations in non-professional moments. Started out as a writer in 5th grade, took it all the way to graduate degree in creative writing. Have always dabbled with painting, mostly watercolor, mandalas (mostly in pencil), but over the past year have fallen in love with acrylics, and my creative energy is primarily directed into that. I am self-taught, have a lot to learn about this medium, hope to become more proficient. Had paintings in three shows at Chris Sorenson's gallery last year, and actually took second place in abstract acrylics the third time--my first public exposure. Yikes! But it was fun. Looking for instruction to learn more about this medium.
