I'm a third generation Fresnan, I grew up loving the work of our local artists, most notably, Clem Renzi and Jean Ray Laury. I remember taking art classes and the then, Fresno Art Center as a kid. As long as I can remember there has been a vibrant and varied art community in Fresno
I design and invent for the toy industry.

I took classes at the Fresno Arts Center when I was in high school, too. My wife works there now, and her office is about ten feet from where I really started to learn to paint. Now I'm a designer and illustrator and I do a lot of volunteer design for the museum. It amazes me that a place like that has contributed to so many local creatives and really doesn't get much credit for it. It's really good to hear from someone else who gained a lot from Fresno's art pioneers and teachers. I hope they know how many of us there are out here.
