Salon Ltd is hosting our first Arthop event,I am showing Roads, and Aging, two in my series depicting various stages in the journey of life.
I will also have a few traditional landscapes and celebrate color in abstracts.
Hope to see you there!
I didn't start painting until I was in my sixties, I love it so much, its added a new dimension to my life...sometimes its a place to retreat from daily stress, other times its almost an obsession.
Yes, I understand . . . and I cannot even count the tens of thousands of times I've been discouraged in the studio. Keep at it, and don't listen to that voice that tries to sabotage your efforts. Listen to your other voice, the one within that drives you to paint in the first place. It is good to be here for one another. Thank you for your comments. By the way, try to go see Robb Weibel's gun powder images this Thur night at the Warnors Theatre, downtown, and also Donnalee Dunne's work at Gallery 25 and of course the show at Fig Tree.
Wow! Sandy! I like number 1 for what it is. Representational with magnificent light and color. I'm also called to the bird on the window sill with the broken glass, number 8, i think. Numbers 15 and 26 call me in on an entirely different level. Well, not level exactly but let's just say a different realm. Yes, into a different realm. I'm glad to see you try your hand in so many different directions. You're not afraid to experiment and that's great because eventually you will find your voice. I have not been to an arthop lately, but hope to meet you out there one evening. Take care and thank you very very much for your comments. I'm always glad to hear someone feels my work on the inside.
