Oh of course I do not agree on the "old fart" stuff. I miss you guys, all the laughs and of course your fine taste in food! Hopefully I can still take you up on your offer to learning from you, how to use the composing program. I greatly appreciate all the knowledge and wisdom that was shared. I dont forget those things easy. I have you guys closer to home than you might think.
p.s. Say hi and thanks to Pat for me. I have greatly enjoyed the cds she let me borrow of Hans York, who I think is fantastatic gifted!
Dropping by to say hi! I hope your new year is going great! How is the composing going? I have your cds in my music library. Thanks again for sharing your knowledge and tips. I finished Renato's Luck (finally). When would you like me to return the book? There are others items I have borrowed, like the maps to Washington, etc...
I will be performing in a melodrama titled One Hot Day, in which I am street guitarist. The play is about a Count coming to terms within herself, falling in love with an unlikely suitor, all while battling her nemesis in a battle of dance and enchantment. I will email you a poster soon. Hope you can attend it. It will take place on the 31st, a Saturday, at 2pm at Love Song Community Outreach on 263 N. Cedar Ave. 93703.
Hope to hear from you soon!
Why would I think at first that you could not relate to my style of music?
Yet, if can relate to Kern, Gershwin, Rogers, Warren, Porter, Arlin, Carmichael, Fain , Berlin, Joplin, and Stephan Foster, I guess you would relate to "my" style of music. Although it is out of style, I compose in that genre, and enjoy it immensely. Since Harriett Wagner added lyrics to about 100 of them, they have taken a new life.
My musical,"Footsie", includes several of them. See www.richardwolk.com
