I am just mad about mountains -- their shapes and color. I like to find the patterns within a scene and consider myself a "designer" as much as a painter. I paint full time and live 30 minutes from Yosemite Valley. I am primarily a plein air painter but also work in my studio. I paint almost every day and am enjoying watching my work change and evolve.
Arts Specialty:
I paint landscape, wildlife, food, and abstract design. I use acrylic paint, acrylic with collage, water media, including watercolor. I am represented by three galleries in the Central Sierra -- Check my website at www.pennyotwell.com & blog www.pennyotwellpaintings.blogspot.com
