While I am chronologically old (76). I feel that I started over again when discovering sculpture in the 1990's. I hope to continue to grow in my work, learning more about myself and conmunicating to others.
Sculptures in bronze, aluminum, cast iron, steel, wood, glass, acrylic, plaster and resin. I mainly work figuratively and usually combine materials. While most of my work is small, I also have larger outdoor works and installations.
Dear Norma: Thanks for your nice comment. I am having such fun promoting the book this year. It was a very important project for me and to get it published means the world. You can find books at Fig Garden Bookstore, the MET, Petunia's Place, Kennel Bookstore, Barnes and Noble and Fresno Ag. How's that for diversity? Oh, also Amazon. Best wishes. Doug
Your work is great! Good for you starting over again in the 90s! Its never too old to change something to better your life! I admire women like you! It inspires me to keep going after it - I changed careers myself in 2000 and have never looked back. Am just getting started in the sculpture and art, though. Glad to see you joined the Sculptor's Corner - look forward to meeting you one of these days.
