Call To Artist - Repurposed Art Exhibit and Family Fun Day

Art and Crafts must be created through the use of or with the media of recycled materials.  Organizers reserve the right to disallow display of any piece(s) if these guidelines are not followed.  Think about it…a painting on an old barn roof tile, an abstract created with plastic bottle caps, a mosaic created from broken colored glass…the possibilities are endless!  Items such as magazines, floppy disks, styrofoam, old toys, cardboard, games, cameras, those half full cans of house paint…See More

This is a very smal art group, however the gallery is optimely place in the mall and gets quite a lot of traffice. Sales are about what you would expect, but they do quite well during the Swedish and Santa Lucia festivals. Come down and take a look.

I take the pictures with a digital camera (A Cannon Rebel) and download to my computer. I then edit them in photoshop elements. If I want a print I take the digital image to either Copy Max Impress or Kinkos (FYI: ALWAYS ask to see a proof, because their printer may not be syncronized with your print and you may have to mak adjustments to your digital image to get the "true" colors.

Thnk you for your support. I really don't havemuch to show right now but by the middle of the summer I should have more. I do my painting outside at the parks because I lack space in my apartment. Getting in touch with nature and relaxing is the most important part of what I do.

I had a painting almost done Mel and my M-I-L has fallen critically ill so everything is now in limbo here. I wanted to thank you for the opportunity anyway.

Mel Mel is so swell, Mel Mel does not smell. She makes good eats, lots of great treats! I love her home, she doesn't live alone. Mel Mel makes everyone happy, she teaches us all how to be quick and snappy! She does it with grace, and what a beautiful face. Mel Mel, I should never tell, but you are just so darn swell!

Love you!

All of you know I am an artist...but did you know.....

All of you know that I am an artist. What some of you may not know is that my sister is also an artist. She creates wonderful pieces!

Last summer she moved to Susanville, an 8 hour drive from here. This limits not only how much we are able to see each other, but also limits our 'Paint Dates'. A Paint Date is when we get together to work on our art pieces,…

A Recycled ArtHop!!

It is said that art imitates life...is this true? There has been many changes in our society to recycle, reuse, and to be more responsible to our Mother Earth.

ArtHop on April 1st at HandsOn Central California (732 Van Ness in Fresno) will be opening night for a month long art exhibit showcasing art that brings to view what can be done with what some would consider trash or non usable items.

The pieces that will be showcased in this exhibit are extraordinary.…
