I paint semi-abstracted representations of water, sky and natural phenomena that point to their (and our) impermanence. By "freeze framing" nature's "moments," I hold on to those things that can't be held . . . perhaps as a way to dwell upon their intrinsic beauty and to convey a sense of wonder to others. I'm drawn to fog, rain, Turner, impressionism, contemporary dance, expressionism, storms, snow, clouds, floating, water in all forms. Like music, these etheric aspects of life offer me solace and remind me to breathe deeply and appreciate every single moment because that is all I have–the present–and that is where I find contentment.
Thank you so much for your comments, when I am feeling discouraged I will read them again and again...after viewing your work I feel so honored to have you take the time to look at my attempts. I am still experimenting and searching for the style that best expresses my many feelings ... I feel I am learning so much and really enjoying myself!

Your work is so beautiful, I am so new at this but I love painting ,it gives me so much. My second arthop event is tonight...the venue is new and I am excited each month...when I feel insecure about my work it is a wonderful feeling to hear positive comments...and to actually have someone say thank you for sharing this with us is so encouraging! Thank you for your comments when I first joined,

Hi Julianna,
Sorry I haven't responded. I don't go to my yahoo acct or this one for that matter very often. Didn't think you would remember where we met or who I was. Glad to hear from you.

Searching for the water photos, they got lost in the turmoil.
