Graphic Designer for over 25 years now working at fine arts once again after putting it down to raise my family. I have been back at oil painting since 2011 and have about 60 paintings or more completed. This year I plan on getting involved with a local plein air group, work at getting into some galleries and really market my work online as well. I'm hoping to attend at least 2 big name workshops, especially John Poon. He is a fantastic teacher and landscape artist. This is what I enjoy most as my subject to paint. I've spent an enormous amount of time in study both in books and online courses in the last 3 years, but really want to go to a workshop for hands on learning. I never want to stop learning and growing. I plan on becoming a professional and am very serious about my art goals.
My husband and I just moved to Madera Ranchos in Jan. 2016 and look forward to meeting a lot of new people here in the area. My 2 children are grown-I have 2 grandchildren and 2 step children-one in the military and one is college. My daughter and her family live in Oregon, my son in Encinitas, CA. My husbands two daughters are from Hawaii.
Both my husband and I enjoy golfing and horseback riding together. We each have our own horses and love riding the trails of this amazing area we now live in. Our home gives us the most incredible view of the Sierras! I look forward to painting those mountains right from my own front yard this year!
Be sure to see my online portfolio at www.jerimfineart.com. I would love to hear from fellow artists. Especially those who would like to join me for outdoor painting.
Landscape painter, plein air, seascapes, florals and still life. Some drawing and pastel of people and animals. My choice of painting technique is Alla Prima or direct painting. Impressionist and bold color.
