My aesthetic side is expressed in part through the work I do as a psychotherapist (Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist & AAPC Fellow).
Therapy today is still an art and a science, though the science unfortunately is seeking to eliminate the art. (Won't be possible.)
My education includes a deep exploration of Alfred North Whitehead's process philosophy. Some of you may be familiar with Susanne K. Langer? She was a student of Whitehead's at Harvard. His cosmology includes an aesthetics.
Besides therapy, I've long enjoyed photography and graphics design. I also write a fair amount, nearly all of it essays and other non-fiction. (I have a monthly column on "progressive religion" in the Community Alliance.)
Thank you for the heads up, it is a very interesting piece. It gives one pause to the effects of what this means to the direction of today's society. On the up side, it is not too late. Part of solving a problem is acknowledging that there is one. One of my sculpture states "Silence is the element in which great things fashion themselves together" At this moment we are within a multitude of waves, can silence still be found to create great things? Perhaps, ...something to think about.
Well, we are glad that you are our friend! :D
Nope, people are not being very nice to her! Which is why we hope people will come to our event & can learn more about being green and helping preserve her!
Hope to see you there!
