I like to experiment with photography and I play the trombone. I'd really like to play in a professional symphony one day, but it's not going to be my entire life. I'm more fond of writing books for a living and maybe doing photography and music on the side. Either way, I want to do something creative as an adult.
I've always been interested in photography. The fact that a camera works like our very own eyes is exhilarating. Although I didn't start taking pictures at a young age, it didn't take very long for me to get into photography. Since I was about ten years old I wanted a really nice camera to just capture the beautiful things in the world with. I finally got that wish just this last year. We did have a pretty nice camera, but a lot of the pictures just didn't come out the way I wanted them to. This last April I recieved my very first super-camera! It's a Nikon D40 and I love it. Now my mission is to get some better lenses. I don't really like being infront of the lens, though.
As a little kid I listened to classical music, along with The Beatles, constantly. I'd march around our couch really enthused by the music. My brother, whome is three years older than myself, started the trombone in 5th grade. I watched him at concerts eager to get started myself. In 4th grade our music teacher had us all learn the recorder. Although, I've forgotten all the fingerings that instrument. When we came into the 5th grade we got a paper with a list of instruments and you had to choose your top three. I chose: trombone, clarinet, and violin. Of course, I got my first choice. I was already excelling the first day I ever got my own trombone. My teacher would tell my that my tone was as clear as a glass of water. I've played the trombone from 5th-8th grade and hope to continue in my highschool years. I've been in the following groups: FMCMEA Honor Orchestra(2 years), FMCMEA Honor Band(1 year), FMCMEA Honor Jazz(2 years), YOOF(one simester), Reyburn Symphonic Band(2 years), Reyburn Jazz Band(2 years), and our own small Brass Ensemble. As I got more and more into music I began experimenting with other instruments. I've learned how to play the piano pretty decently and the bass clarinet. I'd really love to learn the bassoon and cello as well. I'm also learning how to play the euphonium(courtesy of Elizabeth Reimer).
I have always loved reading books. I used to force my parents to read me a book before bed every night. When I was in 5th grade my reading level was already at the 11th grade level. Books just seem to inspire me. I love getting into really intense chapter books such as the Twilight series and Harry Potter series. Since I've been reading so much I've sparked some ideas of my own. I'm currently working on a book that I hope to at least have one hundred pages of it done by the end of the summer. It's a bit on the horror side, but it's from the point of view of someone quite humorous. There's drama, violence, and some pretty comical moments.

Canada.. hahaha...it's the best. (:
I had a once in a lifetime experience with Fresno YOOF. It was a real bummer that I didn't get to play my solo because of our spring concert for school.

Um, and maybe you want to mention that you are a musician somewhere here...they let trombone players be artists, too ;P
