I play in a duo/trio in the group called True Blue. We play mostly original songs in folk, rock, and blues genres.

Arts Specialty:

I paint in acrylics and draw mostly in soft pastels, mostly people and animal themes. I usually demonstrate in the Fine Arts bldg. at the Fresno Fair each fall.

I think you would like painting in oils, there are alot of non-toxic mediums to mix with them nowadays even water mixable oils. You usually work on larger pieces, so they would work well for you. I have to use turpentine or paint thinner to get the tiny brushwork that I do in my paintings. The water mixable oils tend to make the brush hairs spread apart and not stay pointed enough. I have done acrylics too, but I am so slow at painting that even with the newer slow-dry acrylics, my paintings start drying out before I can get the detail I need.
