Lion Dog

Originating in China and adopted in Japan, from Korea, the Shishi dogs guard shrines and are sometimes tattooed on women's bellies, as protection during childbirth.

I've drawn my Lion Dog from a tattooed model, and now transfered it to a translucent porcelain cabochon and added a rhodium plated pin.

It's a great brooche, a real eyecatcher (already many oohs & ahhs for this one!).
