Steel Witch Hat "Bruja de Acero" (Witch of Steel)

This is my very favorite piece! :) Steel witch hat constructed of 18 ga. sheet steel, welded and formed with a torch. I overlaid lace just to add an element of femininity. The flowers are designed after the mohave "ghost flower" (tried to stay with a ghost/witch theme here...) The flowers are hand-made of copper with a green patina. The stems and tendrils are forged. The base is constructed of all forged elements. I chose to faux paint the hat to a color that looked like aged leather. This was a personal project I did - inspired by Harry Potter. 09/07

Thank you for your compliments, Sin! Witch hats are great, aren't they! I think there is a little witch in every woman ; ))

Hi Debra, yep - it was in the Fall issue about two years ago! I posted info about the school on the CBA forum yesterday. :) Are you members of either?

This is super cool!!! I love it. It reminds me of my favorite witch hat I had as a kid. Now I do not need the hat, I am just a witch! But I love this piece!!! So cool!

Hey! Was this in one of the CBA's or ABANA's publications? I'm pretty sure that's where I remember your name! :-)
