hellooooooo Jessica. received your good greeting from Amy when she and Art City delivered my 350-400lb Kansas limestone fencepost. It stands higher than I and has a sexy shape to it. Looking forward to dancing with the stone. Currently working on a kinetic wooden sculpture. What are you up to?

Oops, sorry Andrew, guess Rosemary and I are both confused?!! Wow, I should of been more careful with that one, I was still on a high about Amy winning best of show for her work. I gave you too much credit Amy!!! Sorry to hear about your toe Rosemary, that would of been an interesting Foot Fetish subject! We will get together soon enough, you take care of your toe. Feel better! Love to all!

I can't take credit for starting the group... Andrew Ferrales did. Nice art, Andrew. Do you show anywhere in Fresno? What are the materials you use?
Rosemary... great to see you too!

ooops, thanks for starting the sculpture group Amy. Good to see you at the crossroads to art hop. Believe I broke my toe on the radiator last night, throbbing and swollen is my digit. darn should of turned on the light. Coffee sounds good Cyn, but pain relief is in my forethought and John is not feeling well also. Bill had some interesting metal sculpture last evening at Chris's studio. We enjoyed the giant bulldog which was created by FSU students for recycling. We hope the sculpture is displayed prominently for the sake of the community. Public art ,ie. sculpture has taken a running step into public domain once again. Traveling to Portland and Seattle gave me a chance to see fantastic public sculpture. Art integrated into everyday life. Sculptures built into the walking/bike trails, or hulking under a freeway bypass. We do have such work here in the valley though. Chris's giant metal palm tree on Friant road. Eveny's life size {soon to be bronzed} Indian Squaw with a papoose on her back and holding a basket of acorns, She will be placed at Shaw/Clovis near the bike trail. What talented artist we have here in Fresno. Looking forward to the installations. Can't wait to see the photos of the Foot show but for now I better get the ice to bring down the swelling. Why, oh why didn't I turn on the light, last time I broke my toe was while staying at Shaver lake, getting up in the middle of the night and T-boning my toe on a rollerblade. Guess I need to slow down and smell the roses, oh yeah, and turn on the light.

Thanks for starting the group Cynthia, I hope your' Foot Fetish' show went splendid. Amy Kohl won' Best of the Show' at 8th annual California Sculptor Symposium which takes place the 3rd week of April in Cambria Ca. We had participates from around the Globe attend. The talent of the teachers was beyond measure. To be in a situation where such artistic talent abounds, growth and artistic abandonment work is encouraged and there is a constant feeding of the artistic side of the brain along with the 3 squares of delicious meals a day for 7 days. fresh fruit, veggies, salmon , tri tip, soups, salads desserts. However. the main focus and constant vibrations dealt with work, stone, live model drawing, perspective, restoration and tool exhibitions. There was a slide lecture by Nathan Blackwell, who had the good fortune to know and work with Randolf Hurst at the castle. He accompanied me to my stone sculpture in progress and gave me some valuable advice. Amy Kohl who I consider a new friend [or perhaps someone I knew from another life time] won the best of the show which is a honor among her peers. Her piece was unique, It fit the space well. It added to the beauty of the already magnificent scenery. Framing a piece of heaven within the steel and stone. A hook to hold the bright blue ribbon on the sculpture. Amy would be best to describe her piece 'Solo' I know what I see, but what does the artist want to say about her work? Pray tell Amy.
