I have a sculpture idea that I don't know how to go about solving. I first have to take pictures to let anyone know what I am working with. Maybe I am ready for a critique, maybe not.

I can bring a few rasps/rifflers by and I'll pick up one of the sheets that Buck told me about on Saturday. Oh... don't forget to save the dust from your stone... it is precious also.

Hello fellow sculptors, hope you are enjoying this Fall time of year. I'm so excitied. I was blessed with a piece of Pipestone yesterday. I have plans to cut it into half and create 2 items. Has any one else in our precious group worked with Pipestone? I'd love to read about it from you. Peace, R

I started a group called Sculptor's Corner not realizing that this one existed already. I wanted the focus to be on exchanging technical and conceptual ideas. I would like it if you guys would look at the group's mission statement and if the two groups are similar enough, perhaps we should merge groups?

Hi Amy. thanks for giving me the big piece of limestone from your Kansas fencepost. I've been practicing creating scales on it before I carry it out on the larger piece and do the finishing work. It has been a undertaking working outside with the rock, Fortunately there is shade. What are you up to with your sculptures? I hope you are enjoying your vacation.

Hi fellow sculptors, Glad this group is on a roll..So cool you are rocking Sin.. Looking forward to seeing your work. A reunion you say? Perhaps we could, and add other sculptors to boot. But hey, let's keep our clothes on. The world thinks we are eccentric enough the way we are. It would be a lovely site though. Jessie you may kiss the stone any way you want, but french kissing a limestone fence post might be kind of hard. ha ha. There are some empty square nail holes that were bored into it that barb wire was wrapped upon. A fossil here and there.. If you buy it, you can do whatever you want to it or on it. Though not known for his prose as much as his magnificent talent sculpting I came across a poem penned by Master Michelangelo. ........... ........., The best of artists hath no thought to show. Which the rough stone in its superfluous shell. Does not include: to break the marble spell. Is all the hand that serves the brain can do. The ill I shun, the food I seek, even so. In thee, fair lady, proud, ineffable, Lies hidden: but the art I wield so well Works adverse to my wish, and lays me low. Therefore not love, nor thy transcendent face, Nor cruelty, nor fortune, nor disdain, Cause my mischance, nor fate, nor destiny; Since in my heart thou carriest death and grace Enclosed together, and my worthless brain Can draw forth only death to feed on me. Michelangelo.
