I am a Digital Artist - But love to use ink pens and pencils, I am working on a Dead Men Xing series of resurrected people. I need more realism (push my technique), and any kind of  help is appreciated.

Thanks Sin, I do have lots of wonderful memories---and some very sad ones, it can be a hard life. Thanks to God, He gave us art !

Audrey, your work blows me away. The portrait of you and Ray with the kids almost makes me cry. You look so happy, what wonderful memories you must have.

As an assignment for my summer art course, I have to do a self portrait.
Large. I began working on it yesterday by doing some in my sketch book. They are coming out alright, I am working off of a recent photo.
I will begin the portrait on large art paper today, wish me luck. I am looking forward to it, though a bit nervous. It is due Monday. So I will be busy since it is one of two assignments due Monday!

I just wanted to comment on your family painting. I just love it!

this one is from 1985, myself, husband and two sons. My little art booth is in the background. I love the details of the faires, all the colors and intricate clothing, pavilions, etc. so I tend to overwork my portraits--that's ok with me, it's an obsessive thing.

All the work in here is very good with alot of variety. That is a nice dog portrait! Now that I have a dog, I will have to make a portrait of him for my husband. I used to paint all of my cats--but haven't had one in quite a few years. The one below is "Sockie".
