Or on second thought, I am out of school in a few days and so if anyone has a great tip for a project I am happy to have it! good day.

Hi, I just joined this group! I have taken some dichroic glass class years ago and just wondering if anyone knows if I could get rid of some glass. I am not sure what to do with it. Thanks for reading! VAL

The only local source I know of is Scarab and I'm guessing that's the one you've already found. You might check with Kliss Glass. I'm fairly sure they have classes (and therefore maybe offer glass supplies?). The website doesn't list classes but here it is, for contact info: http://www.klissglass.com/home.html

I'm using the least and last ends, scraps, crushing and fusing. I don't think anyone would want to trade for my materials? I don't know of any local exchanges.

You may have to go to the Bay Area. With my ceramic work I find there are many ceramic supplies I can get locally, but I usually have to travel or mail order to get the things I really want and use the most. Glass may be the same.

I'll look forward to hearing from Vicki!

Hey, where is a good place to get glass here in town. I found one small place downtown with some nice glass. Do you all know of any "glass exchanges". We used to do that in Charleston. We would get our old glass scraps and exchange with others.

I make lampwork beads and jewelry, fused stuff and occasional mosaics along with some clay.

Up until recently, glass art meant glaze work on ceramic. Recently, I've started experimenting with recycling glass scraps into tiles, pendants and other items. I like the slightly primitive and unplanned.

I am a mosaic artist who has migrated from the east coast to settle in beautiful Fresno. I am looking to network with other glass artists in the area. All glasswork welcome...stained glass, mosaics, fusing, beadwork, you name it and I would love to see it and talk about it !
