Water, Source of Life - A Call to Artists

The call to artists for Sierra Art Trails 2010 Special Exhibit "WATER, Source of Life" has begun! Applications will be accepted through July 10th 2010.

Sierra Art Trails presents...

WATER, Source of Life

August 1st through 31st, 2010

Artists Reception - Saturday, August 7th - 4 PM to 9 PM

An exhibit focused on the role of water in environmental, economic, human rights, and women’s issues, shedding light on water concerns, and also celebrating the positive influences of water on our lives. The exhibit will be held at Stellar Gallery in Oakhurst, CA.

The show is open to visual artists working in all media. The exhibit is juried, with an entry fee per piece submitted. Cash awards will be offered.

Sierra Art Trails is a 501c4 Non-profit corporation dedicated to supporting working artists and artisans by promoting and showcasing their work. Each year, our organization produces the annual Yosemite Foothills Open Studio Tour and a number of other unique art exhibits and art related events. Art Trails raises funds for student scholarships, public arts, awards for artists and art organizations, and a unique student sponsorship program. Through these activities we seek to increase public awareness of the importance of the arts in our lives, and the role that artists play in building and maintaining a vibrant culture, stimulating imagination and invention, and improving quality of life.

Sierra Art Trails News - Water Source of life re-scheduled for November 2010

Our summer exhibit WATER - Source of Life has been re-scheduled from August until November 2010. The show has had an enthusiastic response, but we feel it is important to give artists interested in participating more time to create new work for the exhibit.

The exhibit has been re-scheduled for November 6th through December 5th. The new submission deadline is October 10th, 2010. If you have already submitted your application we will hold it, or return it to you if you have a conflict that does not allow you to participate.
