FresnoArts.net Website Roadmap

Hello everyone,

I hope everything is well with all of you... I want to share what we've been working on (and continue to do) through this discussion. I'll call this our community roadmap --- it sounds so official...

1. Fresno Arts Database - this arts database will be a cleaner version of the profile system that we have here now. Part of the challenge that we encountered was the taxonomy or categorical breakdown for all types of arts. Luckily, we've found the website of MNArtists.org and studied how they mapped the arts. We are very inspired by that so we are working to create that for our arts community.

2. ArtHop Venues. We finally made our window decals and we will mail them to you as soon as possible. I will attach a photo of an example of how to place your window decal signage.

3. ArtHop Events. We love the iPhone and most people do so too. Is an ArtHop iPhone app in the horizon? We're definitely considering it and would like your feedback on what features/functionality that you want to see on the app.

4. FresnoArtHop.org and FresnoArtsCouncil.org - We've just gotten some grant funding for its redesign and development so expect something new on that as well.

Thank you everyone for your support of FresnoArts.net and Fresno Arts Council. Even if we are taking baby steps, we definitely feel so much progress in our arts community this past 1 1/2 years. Many artists have approached me about the positive impact of our local social network and I am very excited of the possibilities...
