CALL TO ARTISTS FOR THE PINK SHOW'S 4TH ANNUAL ARTHOP IN CHRIS SORENSEN'S GALLERY! OCTOBER 1st. HANG YOUR BRA! FUN!
Hey, who said you can not have a little bit of fun once in a while! Check this out.
The Pink Show is having it's annual ArtHop at Chris Sorensen's Gallery on October 1st, 2009. This is not to be confused with the benefit concert we are producing on October 3rd, but the proceeds are for the same purpose. There is much to do. This is the first year we have expanded the subject matter to include all women's causes.
The event is open to everyone and benifits St. Agnes Medical Center and Marjaree Mason Center. These are two great causes which our community has supported in the past through prior PINK shows and the KISS THIS art show. The Pink Show is proud to be a part of these awesome organizations which help so many women and families.
The Pink Show is one of the most well attended arthops in the Sorensen Studio/Gallery and comes the month before Nudes In November. Chris was teasing me one day, he said, first we have the boobs show then the nudes show, perfect! Ah Chris, you are such a funny guy! Chris has donated the gallery every year in October to The Pink Show. We love you so much Chris. Thank you!
In addition to the art show inside the gallery we will be creating an incredible banner made of decorated BRAS, (this was the idea of the infamous Stefani Booroojian from kSEE 24 Buddy Check, who knew Stefani had such a wild side!) and with hopeful anticipation we will be hanging the banner on the big Fresno Arch which is located on Van Ness just north of Chris's place, providing we get permission from the city. I will know soon if we will be allowed to do this, though, the banner will still be hung on the grounds of Sorensen's should we get a NO from the city.
I am keeping my fingers crossed, as this could be so impacting on our community.
Wow, imagine it! Thanks to Stefani for the awesome idea and to Mike Becker for the idea of hanging it on the BIG FRESNO ARCH and volunteering his services! Mike is a great free spirit.
Like my dad always said, if you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much space.
To be a part of the show bring your art entries down to the studio, 2223 S. Van Ness Avenue on September 26th from nine to eleven thirty a.m. Art must be related to the cause and must contain PINK, thus depicting the title and making an absolutly beautiful exhibit.
Each decorated bra should also be a unique piece of art and contain pink or purple(the designated color for ourcauses).
The cost for submission of all art will be $20.00 per entry, gallery art, $5.00 submission, Bra art for the Fresno Arch sign, this year we will have a BEST OF SHOW award. The judge will again be our community sweetheart, Chris Sorensen!
I am so sorry to charge for submissions as we do have costs to meet running our show.
I am keeping the cost of bra entries down so to encourage the community.
True Blue will be performing live for ArtHop.

I have such a hate/hate relationship with all of my boulder holders that l would love to paint one and dedicate it to the world of art. I will use one that is too big now that I've had the good fortune to lose a good deal of weight. July 5, 2009 2:31 a.m.

I have such a hate/hate relationship with all of my boulder holders that it will be a pleasure to dedicate one to the world of art. I'll paint an old one that is too big, since I have had the good fortune of losing a good deal of weight recently.
