Local Social Network for the Arts Community in Central Valley
The M Street Arts Complex is a collaborative project. Coming from a mutual appreciation of Fresno's existing creative community, local artists combined forces with Darius Assemi and his team at Granville to answer the question: "what is the next step?" Through vision and creative thinking combined with knowledge and resources, this project seeks to provide an environment in which professional artists can thrive in Fresno.
Housed within a 22,000 square foot building located at the corner of M and Tuolumne in downtown Fresno, the complex is a collection of galleries and studios varying in size that are available for lease. It consists of 1 large gallery with oversized doors providing access to a shared courtyard, 2 medium sized galleries with attached private studios, 3 small galleries with store-front access and attached studios, 7 additional studios with a wide range of shape and size, and 3 warehouse spaces each with their own oversized roll up door and street access.
Designed by artists to meet the specific needs of this unique community, the complex provides amenities not found in other art spaces in Fresno such as air conditioned space, security, and private parking along with the opportunity for artists to represent themselves to the public in their own gallery space while concurrently maintaining a private working studio. This project was designed to provide a safe, clean, and professional environment for artists to create successful businesses, as well as a wonderful opportunity for Fresnans to discover and support our local artists.
