Event Description

This Friday at that cosmic connexion of time and space fondly known as Audie's Olympic(nee Club Fred), the Subterraneans will provide all the reason you need to jump start your holiday season when they take the stage. Purveyors of hypnotic, danceable, literate, bluesrootsy American music, a Subterraneans show guarantees a good time will be had by all. By all means bring your dancin' shoes and some friends(a party hat wouldn't hurt either), sprinkle in some cheap libations and the friendliest atmosphere in town, add a pinch of some local color(here we mention in passing,"Pants" Rowland, and Van Lingle Mungo ) shake and stir, and voila! you have an instant party- the first of the winter season. As an added incentive should you be the first to spot "Gumbo the Hobo" as he sashays across the dance floor in a second line dance(St. Vitus day version)you will be entitled to a free beverage of your choice(did someone say Pabst Blue Ribbon? hmm...). Good friends, cheap libations, and dancing to the Subterraneans -How can you go wrong? The Subs will be starting at seven and ending at nine, our usual early, early show, so don't be late. I of course will be doing the Happy,Happy Hour starting at 5:30. Black Friday? Blue Christmas? Red states? Bah! This is the way to start your Christmas party season. Hope to see you between seven and nine this Friday Dec 5. at the Oly.

Hi Glen, we met last night at your studio. John, Grace and I enjoyed your art and look forward to hearing your music. I have been reading about yours for years and it was a pleasure to finally see your work. I look forward to hearing your music. You asked what kind of work i do as a artist. I'm into sculpting stone at this time. I have a stone sculpture piece at Fresno Art Museum entitled 'Freedom', depicting a beautiful woman from the waist up. She has long flowing hair and is releasing a large bird from her left hand her right hand is open. The piece stands 4" tall and is placed on a mirror. Till we meet again, Rosemary Lakovich
