Event Description

MASTER ARTIST SHIRLEY LINDGREN WILL DEMONSTRATE HOW TO FRAME YOUR WORK FOR ART SHOWS AND GALLERIES AT THE FEBRUARY, 2015 MEETING OF THE CLOVIS ART GUILD
Presentation is everything! A poorly presented piece of artwork might as well take itself back to the studio. Would you buy a painting that was dirty, had dust on the frame, ripped paper on the back? Would you want it if you cut yourself on sharp picture wire sticking out the back when you lifted it? When you take your art to an art show, a gallery or present it to a prospective client, it should be ready to hang on the wall. Learn how with Master artist Shirley Lindgren.
Shirley is a member of the Kingsburg Art Association, Pastel Society of the West Coast, Morro Bay Art Association, Cayucos Art Association, and is a past president of the Clovis Art Guild and San Joaquin Valley Chapter of the Society of Western Artists. She is a Charter member of the Alliance of California Artists and has served as a Director.
Shirley’s paintings have won many awards, including Best of Show in the Clovis Old West & Rodeo Art show. A watercolor “Sunflowers” won a People’s Choice Award at the 2002Big Fresno Fair. The painting traveled throughout the state with the winners of the 8th Annual Celebrate Agriculture with the Arts.
